Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships
Postgraduate
The United States-India Educational Foundation, or USIEF, offers these scholarships to Indians who wish to pursue either a master’s course or research in any U.S. institution.

Scholarship Eligibility – Students should have completed the U.S. equivalent of bachelor’s (4 years of education), and should have at least 3 years of work experience in the area they wish to study in. Leadership and community service, communication skills, and motivation to pursue study and contribute to nation-building are a few areas candidates are evaluated on, and thus should be highlighted in the application.

Expenses Covered – The scholarship covers tuition fee, airfare (economy), textbooks, and a living stipend

Areas of Study – The scholarship gives preference to candidates who wish to study in the areas of Arts and Culture, Environmental Science, International Legal Studies, Public Health, Gender Studies, Urban and Regional Planning, and Public Administration.

Application Time – The application time for these scholarships is June prior to the year of the start of the program. Applications for the year 2018-19 have been opened in June and will continue till July. Final selections will be announced in March 2018.

No. of Seats–There is no specified number of seats. USIEF considers the applications of all candidates found deserving of the scholarship.

Application Process for this scholarship

LOR: 3 references are required. It must be submitted online. Please request referee(s) to send the completed Confidential Letter of Reference Formto the Senior Program Officer, Indian Program, USIEF, Fulbright House, 12 Hailey Road, New Delhi 110 001. All letters of reference should reach by the June 15, 2017 application deadline.

Personal Statement: Required and must be submitted online with the application form

CV: It should provide a complete picture of applicant’s educational background, work experience, and all major accomplishments (publications, awards, memberships in associations etc.).It should not exceed three pages. Do not include any photographs

Upload the passport bio pages (pages with photo, name, passport number, date of issue and validity etc.

If employed, the employer must indicate that leave will be granted for the fellowship period.After reviewing application as part of the Application Inspector process, please print a copy of the application. Submit the printout of Fulbright-Nehru application along with the FNMasters Employer’s Endorsement Form to the employer. Please obtain the endorsement from the appropriate administrative authority on the FNMasters Employer’s Endorsement Form and upload it on page 14 of the online application form. Or, your employer can send this form directly to the Senior Program Officer, Indian Program, United States-India Educational Foundation, 12 Hailey Road, New Delhi 110 001 so as to reach no later than June 15, 2017

If applicant has letters of admission, letters of invitation, deferral requests, or other correspondence from a school, especially a preferred program, please forward a copy (not the original).

Placement of successful candidates is done by the Institute of International Education (IIE), New York. Recommended applicants do not need to apply to U.S. institutions on their own. IIE/Fulbright Program will apply to four different institutions on their behalf, taking into consideration the candidates' preferred institutions and the candidates' competitiveness. If a recommended candidate has previously applied to U.S. institutions and has requested a deferral from the institution, the candidate must notify USIEF immediately

Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai fellowship
The Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai fellowship was established by Reliance Industries Limited to support Indian nationals living in India who need financial assistance for pursuing an MBA at Stanford.
Upto five fellowships maybe awarded each year under the Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai fellowship.

Scholarships benefits:
Fellows will receive cost of tuition and associated fees for each year of the two-year Stanford MBA Program (approx $145,000).
Within two years of completing their MBA, fellows are required to return to India for a period of at least two years to work for an Indian organisation.
Upon their return to India, the fellows are integral members of Stanford University, Stanford GSB and Reliance Dhirubhai Fellows communities.

Up to 50 Reliance Dhirubhai Fellows finalists will be selected based on:

Commitment to developing India
Financial need
Program finalists must meet all Stanford GSB application requirements

SBI Youth for India Fellowship
SBI Youth for India Fellowship Program is initiated, funded and managed by the State Bank of India as a CSR activity, in partnership with reputed NGOs.

About SBI Youth for India Fellowship
SBI Youth for India is a 13-month long programthat enables India's brightest young minds to work on rural development projects with experienced NGOs

It provides a framework for India's best young minds to join hands with rural communities, empathize with their struggles and connect with their aspirations. Promoting a forum for the Program alumni to share ideas and contribute to rural development throughout their professional life

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Young Professionals or Fresh Graduates
Age 21-32 (as on date of commencement of programme)
Indian citizen

FINAL SELECTION & BACKGROUND RESEARCH
Candidates selected post interview will be notified via e-mail and/or SMS.
On confirmation, candidate will be sent the offer letter specifying details of the programme, fellowship support and terms and conditions of the fellowship.
He/She will also have access to further material about the programme areas of our partner NGOs. This will help candidates to decide upon preferred NGOs

Fellowship Support
Stipend: Rs 15,000 to meet living expenses
Local Transport Allowance: Rs 1,000 per month
A Readjustment Allowance of Rs. 30,000 upon successful completion of the Fellowship
To and fro travel costs of the Fellows from his/her place of residence to project location as well as for training programmes
